New embroidery kit available in my Etsy shop! Grea New embroidery kit available in my Etsy shop! Great for beginners with a smaller price tag!
This one was designed by @melimba. It’s super simple with two basic stitches and only one thread color for a simple monotone look. You can choose from 4 different fabric colors. Enjoy!

I was gifted this quilt kit and pattern from @happykoko.quilts and I’ve really enjoyed putting it together. It has a great combination of hand work and machine work so it’s perfect for a crafty quilter. Love how these flower blocks are coming together!

A couple things! 1- I’m absolutely loving this A couple things!

1- I’m absolutely loving this new box top made custom for me by @littleisland79, the shop by @carbon_copy_clothing. I won her giveaway and this is my new favorite shirt! So many strangers have stopped me and complimented me on it. 🙌🏻

2- It’s been awhile since I gave an e-bike update. A couple years ago, I got a cargo e-bike so my kids could ride on the back. I LOVED it but one day while putting up the kickstand, it snapped. The construction wasn’t great and even though the company offered to repair it, we knew it wouldn’t hold over time. Luckily, it happened on the last day we were able to get a full refund. So after a bunch of research, we decided on the rad wagon from @radpowerbikes.

It cost a bit more upfront to get all the accessories we wanted, but it’s held up well and the battery is great. My husband is an engineer so he was confident setting it up, but if he wasn’t, I probably would have hired out the set up.

Last summer I had a lot of back pain and finally figured out it was from the new bike. We adjusted all the things but it wasn’t working. We figured out there wasn’t enough suspension to make it comfortable for me. The bike itself is 75 lbs, plus my weight, and the weight of my two kids, a seat, and a backpack- it’s a lot when you don’t have great suspension. So we replaced the post with a sun tour post that has a little bounce. And we replaced the seat with a cloud 9 seat that also has suspension. It’s helped a lot and greatly reduced my back pain. I love zipping this thing around town and getting my son to school. Highly recommend an e-bike if you’re considering one!

3- My oldest goes to kindergarten next week. It’s only half day. But it is everyday and I’m feeling all the feelings. Any sage wisdom for a young mom sending a kid off to school? I’m going to miss him terribly.
Here’s how I like to make French knots. No sped Here’s how I like to make French knots. No sped up video or time lapse here. It’s slow, meditative, and repetitive. It’s done wonders for my anxiety.

I’ll be visiting @studio5ksl tomorrow to talk about how much this hobby has assisted me in my life, especially as a new mom.

I’ll share here when the segment is available!

It’s the 4 year anniversary of our kitchen remod It’s the 4 year anniversary of our kitchen remodel! We took out a 20 foot wall, removed a drop ceiling, new appliances, flooring, tile, and a whole bunch of IKEA cabinetry. Besides the electrical rewiring, we did it all by ourselves and it’s my favorite DIY ever!

I wanted to document a few more details about my l I wanted to document a few more details about my latest make, the #patinablouse.
My toile of this a few months ago didn’t turn out how I wanted because I stretched out the collar and didn’t match the neckline notches. Don’t do this. 🤣
I cut out an XL and I’m happy with this size. I could probably size down but I like the loose fit. I did opt for the higher neckline on this one. I’m small busted so I found the lower neckline on the XL to be a little too easy breezy for my liking. Higher neckline works well for me.

In case you didn’t see my previous reel, I made this into a top I didn’t end up liking. So I used a different pattern and had to buy an extra bit of fabric. I realized as I was cutting out that the new pattern back would be pieced in 6 different parts and I wasn’t jazzed about that look. So I decided to buy a little extra fabric. I was really hoping to avoid that, but after spending so much “life energy” of time and money on this project, I decided it would be worth it to have the back how I wanted. I also think there should be enough extra now to make a simple top, like the #ashtontop.

Pricing of pattern 1: $14
Pricing of pattern 2: $14

Fabric: $40 for 2.5 yards of 45” rayon
Extra fabric: $23

Price for new needles, buttons, and viscose thread, a little bit of interfacing: $10

Total project price: $101
