    Faktory Website Build

Faktory needed a new website to reflect their new look. I took their design and provided UX consulting to make their new site responsive for various devices. I built the site in Wordpress and added fun HTML 5 elements. It features their portfolio, team members, and a blog.

    It’s my birthday! 🥳 Celebrating with 30% of It’s my birthday! 🥳

Celebrating with 30% off my Etsy shop! It’s my biggest sale ever. That includes everything: embroidery patterns, kits, dollhouse templates, and even mini toilets! Hurry your purchase before midnight.

Grateful for another year to learn and grow. ❤️
Happy Easter weekend y’all! I finished my wreath Happy Easter weekend y’all! I finished my wreath kit from @houselarsbuilt just in the nick of time!
Enjoying my happy floral dress at the red rocks to Enjoying my happy floral dress at the red rocks today! I first bought one yard of this fabric and then decided to make a dress instead of a top, so I bought another half yard. It’s 108” wide so it was a little tricky to figure out what I could make, but it was a fun challenge. It’s a gorgeous cotton sateen by the fabulous @melodymiller in her Rise collection.

I made the #fringedresspattern by @chalkandnotch. I made the skirt in size 18, two sizes bigger than bodice (size 14) because my hips don’t lie. I usually omit darts, but I actually like the dart placement on these. I also extended the skirt by an extra foot or so. I omitted the button on the sleeves and decided to keep them long instead of cuff them. Then I used 4 bodice buttons instead of 3 to avoid any gaping.

I’ve already worn it out and about with the kids a few times and I love it so!

(Pretty funny I’m also wearing my @RubyStarSociety cat socks from @harmonyprovo and didn’t even plan it!)
I finished up a new dress last night and it was w I finished up a new dress last night and it was warm enough today that I could wear it! I’ll share more about it soon.

A lot to be happy about today! Our governor opened up the next round of vaccines, and we have appointments! I got my first dose last week (BMI qualified me - lots of thoughts about this but not what’s on my mind today). I’m absolutely thrilled. Ever so grateful to reach this amazing milestone. There’s a light shining through this pandemic year and I’m here to embrace it!

Thank you thank you to everyone who has gotten a vaccine, signed someone up for an appointment, shared an article about the science, or encouraged a friend to get it. Thank you to any one reading this in the medical industry for all your extra hard work.

Dreams come true! Get a vaccine!
Y’all! Check out my new sweater! I made my frien Y’all! Check out my new sweater! I made my friend @madelinemcneil a quilt and she knitted me this sweater. I found a crazy cool coat on Pinterest with these colors, so we went through the yarn website and chose 9 and it was so hard to limit myself!

Then she used this fabulous stripes sweater pattern by @dreareneeknits. I love it so much! I don’t have a lot to say about it because I know nothing about knitting, but Madeline has some highlights and posts about it on her feed. Her creative account is @madelinemcneil.

What a treasure!
I’m working on a new embroidery pattern with all I’m working on a new embroidery pattern with all the texture. My goal is usually, “How can I do the most amount of stitches and use the most colors?” 🌈

Also, planning on a pattern sale for my birthday next month! 🙌🏻
I made a sweatsuit! From only 3 yards of fabric! I made a sweatsuit! From only 3 yards of fabric!

This is pretty exiting for me. I’m sure many of you follow ambassadors for @minervadotcom. It’s a fabric company that gives people fabric to make and share pictures of what they made on their website. I’m an ambassador now so this fabric was gifted to me from @minervadotcom!

So I knew I wanted to make a #SeamWorkPaxson sweatshirt with this sweatshirt fleece, but I had no idea I’d also be able to squeeze things around to have space for #StellaJoggers as well! I’m pretty happy to finally have my Covid uniform. This week is the pandemic shutdown anniversary so it’s about time!

This organic cotton fabric is a dream to wear and it’s crazy soft! You can read more about my process making this by going to the @minervadotcom website (linked in my profile).
I’ve been loving my new serger I bought in the f I’ve been loving my new serger I bought in the fall. It’s completely changed my sewing life! My mother-in-law is a seamstress (she majored in clothing design and made my wedding dress) so it’s been fun for us to chat about patterns and fabric. For Christmas she gave me this book “Stretch” by @tillybuttons. This is the Frankie baseball shirt I made up in size 6. I was planning to make size 8, but I’ve been realizing that finished garment measurements are helpful! So I measured a shirt in my closet that I like and then chose the size closest to it. Ha! I always skipped that part before.

I just serged the edges instead of hemming, because I may trim the sleeves to be elbow length instead. The neckline feels a little high to me, so I may adjust that as well.

(The last slide shows me pointing to where we live on the map for my 4 year old. He’s realizing the map is more than art! Information!)
