    Faktory Website Build

Faktory needed a new website to reflect their new look. I took their design and provided UX consulting to make their new site responsive for various devices. I built the site in Wordpress and added fun HTML 5 elements. It features their portfolio, team members, and a blog.

Making good progress on the hand quilting for this Making good progress on the hand quilting for this one. It’s a trade for @madeline_makes (she’s making me and documenting a knit sweater for me)! I’m 75% complete with the quilting. Check out my stories today for all my answers to your hand quilting questions.
This morning, I’ve been writing super detailed s This morning, I’ve been writing super detailed stitch guides for how I created this letter M, for my embroidery pattern. Out of all the letters, I’ve definitely stitched the most of “M.” But A is the most popular in my shop. So fascinating!

I’ve cut 27 pattern pieces (9 pieces in my pattern multiplied by 3 for main fabric, lining, and batting). Then I’m quilting it on my machine. Take a look at my stories to vote for binding color please!

This one is listed in my shop.
You might remember that I made my son a dollhouse You might remember that I made my son a dollhouse garage for Christmas last year. I decided to put my design files on Etsy and it’s been really fun. So I made another themed dollhouse for a salon! It’s a digital download for $5 in my shop. I just print them off on standard paper and use double stick tape to put them up. My son is loving the nail polish display and I love changing it up! 🥳💇🏽‍♀️
I made the tiniest little cactus embroidery as dec I made the tiniest little cactus embroidery as decor for my dollhouse. And a few rugs too! The rugs are in my Etsy shop and the bathtub will be coming soon!
New year, new quilt! I’m making a quilt for my New year, new quilt!
I’m making a quilt for my friend @madeline_makes and she is knitting me a sweater! (You can watch the progress on her story highlights.) I love a good trade and I’m nearly out of space for quilts so I’m glad to be making something that I won’t be storing. 😊

I don’t usually do this, but I’ve detailed the step by step process on stories (saved in a highlights called quilt making). I get a lot of questions about where to start with a quilt if you’ve never made one before, so this might help answer that question. Today I finished all the piecing. Next up is to sandwich my batting with the quilt top and back with safety pins. And then I’ll start the long task of hand quilting. My fave!

Here’s a little happy moment I’m loving on one side of the quilt.
Another knit! I found this fabric at @joann_stores Another knit! I found this fabric at @joann_stores and was so excited about it. It’s part of their new pop! knits for kids and I’m here for it. One of my goals this year is to use Hanna Andersson kids clothes as inspiration. I love fun, whimsical prints. It’s a little hard to see but it’s white clouds with smiley faces. 😀

This is a #scouttee another from @grainlinestudio. I already had the pattern but I followed a tutorial on their blog for how to make it with knits. I really love how simple it is and this is my favorite type of neckline.

I graded from size 14 to 18 around the hips. And I extended the sleeves by 3 inches. I serged it together and used a twin needle for the hams. I was struggling with the twin needle on this fabric, so I bought a stretch twin needle and it made a huge difference! Thanks for everyone with the advice on this one!
